Israel exports were $7.5 billion in 2018down 18%

Israel’s Defense Ministry says the nation’s army exports were $7.5 billion last year, down 18 percent from the previous year.

The ministry said on Wednesday that despite the fall, the 2018 figures have been a”major success” and the second-highest amount in the last ten years.

It said the $9.2 billion of defense exports 2017 were”from the normal” but was unable to explain the drop in 2018, stating only that the international economy is”lively”

The discussion of the exports of Israel consisted of missiles and air defense systems. Ammunition, radar systems and unmanned aerial vehicles additionally represented exports.

Nearly half of the earnings of Israel went into the Asia and the Pacific area.

Israel is the world’s eighth-largest arms exporter, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
